Stanford Medicine- How to help a choking child
One minute you and your child are laughing at the dinner table. The next minute the child is choking. What should you do? Be sure the child really is choking. If she is coughing forcefully or talking, leave her alone; she's not choking. A choking child will gag or make a high-pitched sound. Ask your child, "Are you choking?" If she nods yes or cannot speak, let her know you can help. Most important: Don't panic! Your child needs you to stay calm.

The Blue Dot Project
Maternal Mental Health (MMH) disorders include a range of disorders and symptoms, including but not limited to depression, anxiety and psychosis. These disorders and symptoms can occur during pregnancy and/or the postpartum period (together often referred to as the perinatal period). When left untreated these disorders can cause devastating consequences for the mother, her baby, her family and society. These illnesses can be caused by a combination of biological, psychological and social stressors, such as lack of support, a family history, or a previous experience with these disorders. Maternal anxiety and depression are the most common complications of childbirth, impacting up to 1 in 5 1-3 women, yet they are not universally screened for, nor treated. The good news is that risk for both depression and anxiety can be reduced and sometimes prevented, and with treatment women can recover.

Child Safety Seats
Buckling up is the single most effective thing you can do to protect yourself and your passengers in a crash. It is extremely important to make sure all children riding in your car be properly secured before every trip. Thousands of children are injured or killed every year because their child passenger safety seats are not installed properly. Remember, most collisions occur within a mile of the home - so buckle your child in a safety seat for every trip, no matter how short. If you're not confident of how to properly secure your child in a safety seat, contact your local CHP Area Office, and ask to speak with a child passenger safety technician. Click on this link to locate a local Area Office anywhere in California.

goblin.tools is a collection of small, simple, single-task tools, mostly designed to help neurodivergent people with tasks they find overwhelming or difficult. Most tools will use AI technologies in the back-end to achieve their goals. Currently this includes OpenAI's models. As the tools and backend improve, the intent is to move to an open source alternative. The AI models used are general purpose models, and so the accuracy of their output can vary. Nothing returned by any of the tools should be taken as a statement of truth, only guesswork. Please use your own knowledge and experience to judge whether the result you get is valid.

Clear Lake Christian Co-op
At Clear Lake Christian Co-op, we desire to to create an environment conducive for each kids' growth - socially, mentally, and physically. As our children are being taught by the people that love them the most, they will feel comfortable to explore their environment through fun activities, laughter, songs, games, and hands-on experiments and crafts. Through reinforcing Christian morals and character building, our children will feel they have a safe place to enjoy their friends and feel loved by the family connections that allow our co-op to run smoothly.
